Byers Choice Carolers
For those of you unfamiliar with the Byers’ family story, here is a short overview. It is a remarkable story of talent, ingenuity, hard work, attention to detail, and respect for quality. In the late 1960’s, Joyce Byers started making what has come to be known as Byers’ Choice Carolers out of her desire to create holiday decorations that showed a respect for timeless traditions and her own memories of Christmas. Now a family business, Joyce, her husband Bob and their two sons, work with their team of 80 trained artisans to create each Byers’ Choice Caroler with a unique appearance and handcrafted quality. Located in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, the Byers’ family continues to handcraft those same creations that started out on the dining room table many years ago.
“No two Byers’ Choice Carolers are ever the same. The Byers’ Choice artisans create a unique character and personality in each figure by using a variety of techniques and materials. Each artisan leaves a little bit of herself in every figure she touches. As many as ten people will work on one Byers’ Choice Caroler. Consequently it is impossible to find two carolers that are exactly alike.” – Joyce Byers
