Monkey's Fist

Handtied mariner's knot. Approximately 6 centimetres diameter with rope loop.  A Christmas decoration for a boat owner.

A festive gift for a sailor, boat owner, barge owner, yachtsman or rock climber.  This 6cm diameter ball with hanging loop is handmade in the UK using 4mm matt polyester.  A monkey's fist (or monkey paw) is usually tied at the end of a rope to serve as a weight to make it easier to throw.  In the past it was also used as an anchor by rock climbers.
